Why the White Rose

Among the Romans when private discussions were held they were referred to as sub rosa or under the rose - and that term is still in use for private or secret matters. The symbol of confidentiality seems apt for the business of astrology as it is for the tax, security, investment, and accounting business. And there are other connections. The White Rose has become a personal emblem and as Le Rose Blanche was also used as the name of a small shop for a few years. Using French, and perhaps not perfect form French at that, suggests medieval Europe which is the source of much of my astrology and of the mysterious Knights Templar. It was also the name of a native German anti-nazi resistance group during the Second World War.

A brief bio of the astrologer - Jonathan Flanery born 9/28/50 travel in Europe, United States and Canada. Military dependent as a teenager. Learned astrology and tarot in Montreal QP in 1972, BS in Statistics MSU 1984, small business consultant since 1987, small tax and accounting business since 1994, series 6 investment license 1997, interests in mathematics, metaphysics and the occult , as well as history, and science. I read a lot, enjoy gardening, walks in the forest, people in general, dancing and music. Long term open relationship since 1993 that looks stable, married and divorced with 3 step children (1978-1984 - it did make getting through college a bit difficult and my GPA isn't sterling). I've held a number of other jobs while doing all this and have had other experiences but these are probably the salient points.
